Signs of the Times
He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? Matthew 16:2-3
Jesus warned the people, they could look to the sky and see the signs, but they could not see He was the Messiah. They had the scriptures. They knew what they said, but the religious leaders did not understand who He was.
I cannot tell you how many people, including myself are reading Isaiah, Jeremiah and other prophets. After reading them, we’ve all come to the same conclusion. The… Continue reading
No Lie is in the Truth
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. 1 John 2:21-22
What happens to a country, where the truth becomes the lie and the lie becomes the truth? As you can see, those who believe this way are not operating from sound Biblical principles. Instead, they operate from the perspective of the antichrist or the one that denies the Father and the Son.
The world wants to have its way without judgment. Recently, I read where there is now a new “Christian gay” dating site. They want to show the world they are Christian too.
It’s as if there… Continue reading
Paul Washer - Breaking over the Lost Souls
This one will change your heart about evangelism. We have really prostituted the Gospel. Many miss true salvation.
Remember, repentance leads to salvation.
Are We Living the End Time Prophesy?
That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. (Isaiah 30:9-11)
The questions we may want to ask ourselves is these, “Are we living the end time prophesy? Are we in the last days, before the Lord’s return?”
There is no doubt, our world is becoming more corrupt by the day. Living in this country, feels as if we no longer understand the ideals that made this country great.
Whether these are the last days for the world or… Continue reading
Doubts in Your Doubts, P. Sheldon
People today seem to have an answer for everything—especially when it deals with God. You don’t have to look very far to listen to other’s opinions on how the world was created, how you get to heaven, or how God doesn’t or does exist. Take Oprah for example. She claims there are many ways to get to the “light.” In other words, there are many ways people can get to heaven. Go to any university and you will hear how science debunks God as the Intelligent Designer. Perhaps churches are just as guilty of giving people a false gospel and a false hope? The point I’m trying to make is that doubts can creep in very easily. Continue reading
Forsaking this World
What does hate this life, in this world mean? Well, John Gill, in his commentary, says it has to do with attitude. Are we willing to become reckless for the Gospel. In other words, are we cautious and calculating to protect ourselves, from those who might disagree with our faith, because we want to remain in this world? Or are we truly living to share our faith and to take a stand against or for something that speaks of Christ and His glory? In essence, are we couch believers or are we in the world, sharing our faith and taking a stand for righteousness? Continue reading
Be Careful of Self-Deception
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:8
All of us have done this at one time or another. What am I talking about? I am talking about rationalizing sin and calling it something it is not. In other words, there are times, in our lives, when we have turned away from the truth and rationalized away our sin.
I know what it’s like to do this. I have done it on several occasions. And those times I have done this I was guilty of self-deception.
What’s the problem with denying sin? When we deny sin and justify it… Continue reading
Modern Day Jesus
I wonder sometimes, why the worldly do not understand Christianity and what we stand for as believers. However, I do not believe they are to blame. No, I think the blame lies squarely on our shoulders. As Christians, we are making Jesus into who we want Him to be to satisfy our shortfalls and desires.
appears that we have come to the place where we are creating a new, Modern Jesus and with it, a new Word from God and a new movement of the Holy Spirit. Instead of allowing God to mold us into Christ’s likeness, we are
