I just finished watching “Pistol,” the story of “Pistol” Pete Maravich’s early years. The movie is about a 13 year old who is so talented he starts on the varsity basketball team. Not just any team, a state championship team.
Pete gave people what they wanted to see “showtime.” His father Press instilled in Pete the need to practice and the love of basketball.

Have you ever gone through a trial or time of testing when you thought the whole world was against you? When you cried out to God, but it seemed he would not answer. You wonder, ‘does he really care?’ You search for answers but none can seem to be found.
Then God reaches down with his loving hand of mercy and embraces you in beyond your imagination. He places someone in your path that will be his hands, his heart and his arms reaching out to you.

God is alive and he is still speaking to his people. God has sent his son so that we can enter the Holy of Holies and now being reconciled to him, we are able to talk to him and he is able to speak to us. The article describes how God speak to his people in various practical ways and how one man was able to follow the instructed guidance from the Holy Spirit and be led out of the wilderness. Jesus Christ who has reconciled men to God and has bridged the gap so that God will now speak to us again
