The Twisting of the Ten, By Patrick Sheldon
Remember, before the Ten Commandments the Israelites were viewed and treated as property. They were beaten, battered, and bruised. They were slaves to the Egyptians. Through the Ten Commandments God declared them as precious and human in His sight. In other words, God would bring back order and healing and freedom through the Ten. God said, “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me.” Continue reading
No Man Repented
Fact is, we cannot know righteousness, if we do not know the truth. And we cannot know righteousness if we do not have Christ and seek after Him. If we remain content in this world, to live as we have always lived, then we will never gain Christ and know His righteousness. Continue reading
Salt of the Earth
What makes us the salt of the earth? What makes Christians like salt, when it comes to the world? I have heard many explanations for this verse, but the one I heard the other day, listening to a “Way of the Master” video makes the most sense. Continue reading
A Time of Blinding
God tells us to separate ourselves from the world’s ways. He tells us to lay down our desires and lusts and follow Him. He tells us God purchased us for a price, thus we are no longer our own. Yet, it seems that none of this matters. We cannot see past today, anymore than the world can. We do not spot the roaring lion prowling, every waiting to pounce on us and destroy us through sin. Scripture 1 John 2:7-11

A life not changed is not saved. Praying a prayer is not Biblical. We are saved by repenting of our sins and believing the Gospel.

Assurance Part III, Tests from 1 John
From Assurance part III - Paul Washer Sermon
I. 2 Corinthians 13:5
1 John 5:13
Those who profess know it is true, through the things John wrote.
Many will say they have salvation and assurance, but it’s not real.
The Gospel tells us we will know them by their fruits.
Do you know the Lord and does your life demonstrate it?
If we live a style of life that contradicts God’s Word and will, we are not Christian.
Christians are sensitive to sin in their own life, comes to confession and repentance.
Truly converted the sin you once love, you will now hate. You can be enticed back, but if it happens, you know you have sinned.
II. 1 John 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of… Continue reading

I. Love, mercy, forgiveness, unity and joy are some of the attributes of those who have Christ.
II. Sensitivity to Sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:8
Does sin cause your heart to break? Does it make you feel ashamed? Does it cause you to repent? Or do you sin and think nothing about it? If you habitually refuse to acknowledge your sin before God? If you have someone come to tell you, you have sinned, do you get… Continue reading
