I Got it, Coach!
When God places a calling on your heart. You won’t have enough resources to do it on your own. The Giants of finances, ability, courage, knowledge and strength will cause you to feel you cannot do what God called you to do. And it’s true. You cannot do it…in your own power and might. But God will prepare you. He will put the right people in your path. He will make finances available. He will do all He can to make you ready for the call He gave you or will give you. If you are willing, He is willing. Continue reading
He Created us For Good Works
Did you know God has a plan for our lives. The first part of His plan was to send Jesus Christ to come to this earth, so God could redeem us with the blood of His Son and give us forgiveness of sin. He also came so we might have grace. Grace allows us the opportunity to stumble without having the hammer come down every time on our heads. Continue reading
Men Condemned to Death
I have to admit, I have had great anxiety over the direction of our nation and its leaders. In the past, I placed my hope in politicians. I had fear about losing all my investments. This fear paralyzed me. Then I received David Wilkerson’s latest newsletter. He writes, “Our faith is anchored in this: Our heavenly Father know us - He knows exactly what we need and when we need it - and the very fact he knows is proof enough that we are under His care. He delights in us, and we are snuggled in His bosom, safe and sound. God knows all about the dark days ahead. And He knows that even this darkness cannot obsucre His face from us.” Continue reading
If You Love Me
May I say this, if you are one of these and feel comfortable in your sins and you see no reason to give them up, you don’t have the Lord. If you did, the guilt would be too great to continue in sin. I know. I was one of those people. I had an addiction. I had it for years, but the Lord also had me. Every time I committed my sin, guilt and shame overwhelmed. Then, at the point of wanting to end my life, God allowed me to fall asleep. The next day, God set me free. For the first time in years, my mind and heart were free. Continue reading
Preserving God’s Favor through Consecration
Today, say “No” to toying with sin. Tell the Lord, “No More!” Tell Him you want nothing to do with sin anymore. Sell out to the Lord. Consecrate yourself to Him and watch what He will do to preserve you in the midst of this turmoil. Continue reading
Do Not Forsake Me - Utterly
It all boils down to this. Treat others as you want them to treat you. Love others as you want to be loved. Serve others as you want to be served. Trust others as you want to be trusted. Give to others as you want to be given to. Help others as you want to be helped. Pray for others as you want to be prayed for. Share with others as you want others to share with you. And above all live for others, as you want others to live for you. Continue reading
When the Tempest Blows
Maybe you were ready to retire in a year or two, and you left your money in your 401k, thinking it will come back. It didn’t this time. And now you are facing the fact you don’t have enough left to retire. The falling market has eaten up 40% of your money. Continue reading
Remove Christ - Remove Moral Authority
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. he Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:1,2,14
I recently viewed, for a second time, the movie “Time Changers.” While not a very high budget movie, it had one very important message we should all heed. We cannot have a Christ-like moral standard apart from Christ. We cannot separate morals from Christ. For if we do, we do, a nation will lose its morality and people will become their own standard of righteousness.
Thus, remove… Continue reading
